Welcome to the King County Coin Club web-site! The King County Coin Club (KCCC) was formed in November 2005 to serve the coin collecting community between Seattle and Tacoma. The club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Ave. S. in Tukwila. The club mission is to provide education and entertainment for its members and visitors alike. Most meetings follow a regular format- Introductions, news, show and tell, refreshments, a special presentation, an auction and a raffle. We have 3 special meetings a year- a summer Barbeque & Bourse in August, a Holiday Social in December and the Northwest Coin Grading Championship, held in November. Since its inception the club has featured special presentations by noted numismatists of national and local repute. The club holds a coin show in November and also serves as the host club for the Pacific Northwest Numismatic Association annual convention in April. The KCCC is an American Numismatic Association affiliated club. We have members of all experience levels. Many good friendships have been formed since the club was started. We encourage all interested parties to visit a meeting and check us out. We guarantee you will have a good time! We hope you enjoy our web-site and thanks for visiting! If you have any questions regarding our club or if you need some coin advice of a general nature call us up at 206-914-6550. (FIND BELOW A COPY OF THIS MONTH'S NEWSLETTER) |

![]() Hello Coin Nuts!
Our keynote speaker this month is the notorious Buck Nickels (R), the nastiest numismatist in the northwest. Expecting to arrive just ahead of the posse, Buck will be sure to hold the club in thrall, possibly because of his reputation for shooting fidgets. He once killed a man that pointed out a carbon speck on his 1909-S VDB. He got off scot-free after the empathetic judge, a dissolute Barber nut himself, ruled it a justifiable homicide. Buck will be showcasing his collection of Panama Pacific exonumia. Be there- or he’ll come looking for you.
Our featured numismatic item this month is an example of HK1- The Erie Canal Completion medal from 1830. This is where it all begins for so-called dollar collectors. This piece in its original wooden case recently brought $1625 on EBay.
Also- the club is treating everyone to pizza at the meeting this month, come hungry! See you there! |
